I am ordering a White 3' Fire stick for my new CB Radio.
Trying to figure out where to mount it.
I do not have shrock bumpers.

I believe these are my options
1. Mount in along the hood channel - essentially attached to the fender inside the engine compartment
2. use a door edge mount and have it out the side of the rear hatch. I believe there is an example of that somewhere on this site.
3. Roof mount onto the factory roof rack - but remove the fire stick when not inuse. I have a garage. Does in need tuning each time you disconnect it?
4. Magnetic mount on roof - not crazy about this option.

Any ideas and samples of mounting brackets that can be shown to me!!

Thanks Creek!! Now I need to decide on your spot or on the front between the hood and fender. I may just order both brackets and decide at that point.

Took my Midland CB back to the store yesterday. I want the smaller size of the Cobra.
Went across the border to Bellingham. Picked up the Cobra Ultra III for $35 at Wal-mart. It is $80 online up here and $120 at Canadian Tire. I also went to a place called "Hardware Sales" and pciked up my 3' Firestick II, 18 feet of cable, a mount (that I think is too big), and a SWR meter for $20.
I will be attempting to do the install tomorrow!!
