I opted for the OR over the S. I got my OR MT for the same price as the S AT. I should have went with an OR AT, but I had no idea I would OR my OR X.

I really like my 06 X OR. Personally, I would never buy any vehicle with an automatic transmission. If you think the "year bump" is worth $1000, and we already know that the locker in the OR is worth $1000, you don't need to think about it much, do you?

I would agree as long as all the options you want are there. I like the locker, and probably wouldn't have ponied up the extra money for an aftermarker locker if I didn't get it up front.

BTW - I am in Missoula, MT right now for work, and it is boring!

The rear locker definitely makes the price worth while. But you can also factor in a few non "Off Road" benefits as well:

-- nicer rim/tire package (personal preference)
-- interior on the OR appears to hold up significantly better than the S model
-- you have the option of getting the RF stereo while in the S you can't
-- slightly higher ground clearance
-- stock "skid plates". . .they're good for general purposes

all in all you get a complete package by going w/ the OR. It all depends on what you will want to change in the S model once you get it.

Good luck w/ your decision.

drove both, and prefered the ride of the OR
Add the nicer interior, locker, tires, and the rest it was a no brainer.
that and the price was only a bit more than a S
Get the OR:you won't regret it
