I broke a cple teeth on my e locker as well.
You really didn't need to weld it. You could of just done the e locker bypass and just left the locker locked. As long as you didn't completely destroy the spiders.
I only broke one tooth off each gear and actually opened it up and cleaned out the pieces.
I drove like that unlocked for 3 months just fine.
That sounds like a good plan.
After i blew my diff and then blew up a hub bearing, I have had nothing but problems with my 226.
Hub seals always leak
Brand new bearings rumble
And stupid ABS censors always shutting down the ABS system.
