this truck has one of the first calmini 5" lifts, and sets of shrockworks bumpers and sliders. that stuff has been on there since a few months after the truck came off the lot.

my friend made the hannibal roof rack mounts.

it is my daily driver, and fishing veh. i've towed raft trailers, drift boats, 3 different jet boats. it's a good truck on the road and off. only draw backs for me it would be nice to have more horsepower when towing the jet boat over the rocky mountains and i wish the back was longer for sleeping in when i'm out and about solo.

Comments: I'D LIKE TO THANK MY FRIEND MIKE (original owner) FOR GIVING THE TRUCK SUCH A GREAT START. I HAVE HAD ALOT OF FUN CONTINUING TO UPGRADE THE XTERRA. THIS SITE IS A GREAT RESOURCE. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR SHARING THEIR MODS, IDEAS, AND SOLUTIONS, COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS. I LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING FUN WITH THE XTERRA AND KEEPING THE TRUCK PROGRESSING. THANKS Kfrizz AND Xterra_Brit for helping with my mods! A.X.E.!!!

Thanks for the compliments! Yeah i don't know how i managed to refrain from showing it on here. It's the only gen 2 xterra i've seen in calgary that's pretty modded out. I saw a gen 1 last month on the highway and we basically drove beside each other checking out each others trucks, pretty cool, gave him the thumbs up at the off ramp.

I'm very jealous! I am not going to lie....I think I am going to scratch all of my current projects and ideas and build a roofrack that can support a tent....very very seriously. Your build is an inspiration to those building exploration and adventure rigs...myself included.

I'm drooling over that roof rack/tent setup.

well the evolution of this truck has been forced to continue due to failure of the m226 rear diff.

will rebuild the m226 with 3.73 ring and pinion, and arb locker. found 3.69 front diff to swap in. then coilovers, control arms, springs, and wait for the front diff gears, or rear diff gears to blow up or for someone to release the gears for the titan m205, then full titan swap. should be cool in the long run, with 5" bracket plus titan swap. the proper gearing and maybe enough torque to tow with 35" tires!!!! that would make me happy.:blackeye:

as of today the truck is still awaiting medical attention. the r&p, bearings, front diff, are here. just waiting for air locker, and the guys at the shop to have an opening to rebuild the rear diff.

i miss my truck, i am driving my mom's ford focus wagon and it is... well it's a focus wagon...:crybaby: but it is better than the bus.
