i am trying to get a Gibson Catback Exhaust too.
and the lowest price that i got was

$411.00 at 4 Wheel Parts.
and that is the price for the Stainless Steel oine

i think they said something like around 300 for the aluminzed one.

but i am lookin for a lower price then that..

it is 362.95 shipped @ autopartswarehouse.com. i got my alum from them on ebay for 280 +53.99 shipping. it came straight from gibson and arrived in 2 days.

I'm interested in the aluminum model. Just curious why pay more for SS when it's under your truck and might as well be painted?

Syndicate is right about that. I bought the SS before the forums, and never even gave a thought about painting it to prevent rust and the such.

The alum. model is just an aluminized coating over the steel to help prolong the life... It will eventually rust!
Painting exhaust doesn't work that well because non-factory hi-temp paints usually don't stick worth a crap.
That being said, If i were in Socal like some of you guys I would probably go for the savings of the aluminized exhaust because you don't have the steel eating humidity out there. They will actually rust from the inside out because the inside isn't coated.

Ah yes, good point on the inside being susceptible to rusting.
Like you said though, it's not too humid out here in Cali.
As far as paint goes, I was thinking some type of reputable BBQ paint.

I am in for alum. I live in KY and it is very humid here, have never replaced an exhaust do to rust so I will just save the $100 bucks.
