Thinking about good winter tires to put on my X. We live in Northern BC, we get a lot of snow here, no salt used on roads, just gravel (tell me about cracked windshields :-(grrrr), temperatures go as far as -40 some days...The guy who runs our local tire shop recommends Hankook as the best. That's what he actually put on our corolla last Winter and I can't say enough praise on those tires on her, what a difference! So I have one good experience with Hankook I*Pike, just not on Xterra yet. Anybody driving them on X in similar climate? How do you like them?

Nokians are the highest rated LT /SUV tire in Canada

Better then hankooks IMO. Should be good deals on this time of year from kal tire

Yeah, husband just sent me some reviews on Nokians, impressive...Will have to have a look at those!

I have I*Pikes on my Frontier, after one winter so far I have no complaints. Not too bad in mud, either.
