Sturmvoik and I are going to ride "at" Stag Hill Road in Mahwah (northern New Jersey) tomorrow. Feel free to join us.

Go on YouTube if you are not familiar with Stag Hill (there are a bunch of videos).

Message me if you are interested.

Went off-roading with Sturmvoik today. He is a great guy! I never would have known today was his first time off-roading (he just bought his X). He kept up with my Pro-4X even though he was driving a stock baseline Xterra with street tires, no rear locking differential, no skid plates, etc. I will not hesitate to ride with him again.

Thank you so much for inviting me coming along ! it was a lot of fun!!! not gonna lie I was abit nerves but I thinks its normal human thing ... you can't just go full headon into unknown you have to be careful and play smart. ) Just for whenever I go next time I need to get at at least set of armor plates for underneath . But overall the trip was awesome

P.S I am amazed, shocked and happy how well stock Xterra handled itself on that trail what an great truck !

Sturmvoik posted our off-road adventure on his YouTube channel at
Any Trails in or near New York ? NJ ?

The photography and editing is excellent.

It is a very difficult terrain to accurately document. The trail is a bunch of steep inclines and declines, similar to a roller coaster.

The trail has large rocks. It is far from rock crawling. However, the rocks are big enough to rip out your underbelly if you are not careful.

The steep inclines and declines consist of loose shale like rock which can cause havoc for the overconfident (lifts won't help at all, and mudders won't overcome over confidence on declines).

Please let us know if anyone is interested in going before snow fall.

In case anyone is wondering, the main trail is very wide because a large area of forest was cleared for the installation of a natural gas line. However, there are numerous side trails which are tight tree lined rocky trails.

After months of waiting my X is finally in the shop getting a suspension lift, SchrockWorks front bumper, and larger rims and tires. Should take about 2-3 weeks. Looking forward to a group ride afterwards.
