Just moved up here from Fort Lauderdale, FL 1.5 months ago. Palm Coast has a lot of nice wooded areas and trails to walk on which isn't far from the beach. However, I am aware of people bringing their vehicles on the beach in Daytona and some parts of Palm Coast... but my question is.. where do people actually go off-roading other than "at the beach" ?? On a side note... I have seen many Xterra's around here! Also saw someone driving a 2nd Gen Xterra that is a "Rescue" vehicle of some sort. Is that person a member on this forum??

In Central Florida we have Ocala and Citrus.
I just came back from an ONF camping weekend and it was fun, some water but not bad.
Be aware, pinstripes will happen

Welcome to Central Florida! If you go to any of the beach ramps in Volusia county you can buy a beach driving pass for ~$20 which is good for the whole year. Also if you have a dog there are dog beaches in Ponce Inlet and New Smyrna Beach which you can use if you buy the combo Pass which is like $45 for the year.

Like websch said Ocala is the closest national forest but I've also found some fun trails at Tiger Bay

That is good to know. We do have a dog. Will keep that in mind as well. Thanks!
