A local guy built a rear bumper with a tire carrier for another local guy. It's his first design and I might get him to build me one in the spring with some different options etc as he can build it anyway I want. He used 1/4" steel for mounts and support brackets. And 3/16" for the rest.

He wants around 700 bucks which I think is reasonable .

I didn't like the way the tire is so far to the left but he said he can move it over if I like. Plus add a highlift mount and hers can mount. I haven't had time to see it in person yet.

What you all think

Looks well built, and not a terrible price either.

looks cool - spare offset to go with the asymmetrical rear glass, right?
Have no idea lol. He said a 35" tire would cover the left tail light.

And shipping to the US from cdn... Well we deal with it now lol just reversed this time. Usually adds 300 bucks for bumpers like shrock etc

Offsetting the spare allows the tire to clear the hatch when the hatch is opened. Otherwise the swing arm must be opened out to the side (more than 90*) in order to open the hatch.
Not a big deal usually but every now and then in a tight parking lot you may not have the room to do that.
