I'm noving to AK in a few weeks and want to upgrade my babies feet. I'm looking at the Swamper SSR in the 32x11.50 for my stock 06 OR w/ MT. I am wondering if this will be too agreesive a tred pattern and lead to probs... Would I be better to go with something like the BFG ATs in the standard 265/75/r16?

Well, those Swampers will certainly look badass but their functionality is limited.

On the street they're noisey.
They wear quickly.
They aren't as safe as a tire with more rubber on the pavement.

On the other hand, if you do minimal city driving and like playing in the mud, then the Swampers would kick ass.

They're not great for sand, and are too stiff of a compound for rockcrawling.

Summed up, unless you're really diggin' their looks, get something like a basic mud terrain or even an All-Terrain.

I was watching those tires at ECXC and mine were getting traction when they were not. I have the dreaded BFG AT KO's that were not so in balance out of factory. So if you buy em, keep getting new ones until you get a set that is in balance or at least balance-able. Out of 6 I got 3 good ones. But they wear good and preform good on and off road. MC
