I have a '06 2wd S Auto
I noticed this way back when and just got to thinkin with all the pics of people's undercarriage and noticing the rusty driveshafts... I thought; out of curiosity what models does this apply to:
Is it just the 2wd
Just the S
Just the Auto, etc

I think they all have Aluminum drive shafts.

Nothing wrong with that unless you dent it (then they twist up like a pretzle).

I had to take a long look at your picture. Did you flip your X over to take the picture?

Definitely not worried about strength... i just could've sworn i've seen several here that looked like rusty steel.

Steve,

What is happening with your old drive shafts? You reusing them or pitching them?

Hmm...odd, that doesn't look like aluminum. I'll have to check mine.

odd.. I have a Nismo 4x4 Frontier with a steel front and aluminum rear. I figured that is what everyone had. Maybe this is why some people get driveline vibrations with shackles and some people dont.
