I currently have the AC shackles and was thinking about adding
the AAL. Will the driveshaft still be ok to use? Are there any other
potential problems I should be aware of? And will this setup-
AAL and shackles still require the shims?

Yes, you still need shims (I tried AC AAL and AC Shackles and still had a bad vibration. I changed out the AAL for Calmini AAL (w/ 2-3º shims) and it rides good.

everything else is ok? My main worry is driveshaft but others seem
to run this set up with the stock one without problems.
Do brake lines have to be extended or will it be fine as is stock?

Everything else is ok.

If you change the stock shocks (to longer ones) you will need to extend the brake lines as well. With the stock shocks, they will not allow the rear to flex enough to have brake line problems.

I can second Muzikman on his comments. I am using Calmini AAL with a shim and shackles and it works great.
