A Shot at Redemption--

Its not often in life that you get a "Do-Over" but desert racing is one place where you can get a second shot at turning defeat into victory. Returning with the same, but improved vehicle and virtually the same team, Team Xterra Racing is back in Vegas to finish what they started in '06.

Plagued by new car gremlins and on the receiving end of a big time "love tap" early on in the '06 running of BITD's Vegas to Reno race, Team Xterra Racing's day was over early leaving the team members operating the Goodyear/Locos Mocos pits, diligently working on other racers vehicles without hope of ever seeing their own race vehicle come by...

'07's running of the "Longest Offroad Race in North America" sees Team Xterra Racing return with high hopes and renewed vigor. Coming off third place finishes at both the Parker 425 and Terrible's Town 250, Team Xterra Racing sits solidly in third place in class 3100, a gnat's hair away from second and within striking distance of first... With the Vegas to Reno race being worth double the points of the other races, everything is on the line!!

Sitting on a host of replaced and upgraded components including; fresh front shocks, new front hubs, new A-arms, new rack w/tie rods, new Howe power steering pump and cooler, filtered reservoir, braided steel lines, steering quickener, new chromoly steering column, aluminum race radiator, new National leaf springs, new u-bolts, new bump stops, new 3/8" T6061 skid plates, some new body panels and of course brand new Goodyear MT/Rs on the ground. The XterraRacer stands fresh and ready to tackle all 570 miles of some of the wildest terrain Nevada has to offer.

Every race offers new insight and lessons to be learnd and '07 Vegas to Reno is sure to be no different. As you might notice in previous races the team carries with it a "never say die" attitude and will do whatever it can to make it to the finish line...It will likely be a long day and night for Team Xterra Racing so be sure to follow along on the Team Xterra Racing forum where a "correspondent" will be following along and posting updates all the way from contingency on 8/23 through the end of the race--wherever and whenever that may be!!

TXR is supported by several large entities. Nissan Motorsports, Fox Shocks, PIAA lights, National Springs, DJ Safety, Speedhut, EVCO, Double D Bolt and CWI Hosting. It is because of great sponsors, Xterraracer is able compete on this level. We thank our sponsors!

That's a lot of new parts, but what about diffs? They get that spool in the rear?
Iffy at best on both...Companies promising FAR more than they either CAN or WANT to deliver...
