I rarely use 6th, unless I'm up to 70mph on the freeway. I seem to get better gas mileage keeping her in the 2000 to 3000 rpm band, rather than dropping below 2k RPM in 6th.

I never hear a growl. Do you think it is the clutch pedal? I used to have a Jetta that sort of growl/squeaked when you pushed in the pedal.[/quote

Nope, its the engine or exhaust, everytime I press in the clutch (Yes, I have let off the gas) she gives me a little growl for like a second right as the clutch is being depressed goes away while i am shifting and releasing it. I assumed this is normal since it has happen since the day I drove it off the lot.ZwithanX said:I never hear a growl. Do you think it is the clutch pedal? I bet the mountains could be a little rough in 6th. I only have small hills on my way to work and haven't driven it any where else yet. After the break in period it will be ready for a roady up north and I am sure to find some hills there.ZwithanX said:Every time I go up I-80 in the mountains.
