Yeah, that one.

I did my homework, asked around, read forum posts here, and spent quite a bit of time making sure I had everything needed to replace "while I was in there" - while doing my valve covers last month. I did a few other hard to reach hoses such as pcv, rocker cover to cover, swapped an ignition coil, cleaned every electrical connector, etc etc.

I have not seen this hose mentioned while myself and others have asked "while im in there, what should I do"

It is hiding underneath the intake, under the fuel rail, on top of the engine. It is about 3-4" long.
Trace the longer (passenger side) oil cooler hose up, to the hard line across the engine, which bends in and to 21306-EA200.

FOR THOSE OF YOU DOING INTAKE/VALVE COVER WORK IN THE Future
Get this hose and change it while you're in there.
I'm pretty pissed to say the least. I wasn't aware of this one, didn't see how while we were focused on the task at hand, and really wished I would've known about it. The thing is hard as a rock and damn it bothers me that it's not changed.

Just passing this along. Make this hose a sticky or something for Ukraine's sake

I know what it is - have new one - but haven't done it yet. Did you have to pull the fuel rail?

I am also waiting to do my valve covers to do it at the same time - although there is a thread on here doing it directly from the top. I'll see if I can find it.

edit - found it Can you Change the Oil Cooler Water Hose at the Intake?

Dang, good find
If I can do this without removing the intake plenum, fuel rail, etc, I will be very happy

Thank you for posting THIS!
I am about to replace my valve covers and definitely will add this PM item to the list. I am thinking about getting this set:

Is this an overkill?

Not overkill at all. I cant speak on whether silicone hoses are better than rubber - I have no idea. But they seem like a great idea and the kit just makes so much sense.
I wish I would have gotten something like that.
I like how z1 offroad has separate hose kits for coolant, EVAP, etc. Saves A LOT of time studying Nissan diagrams.
Just get the kit and youre covered. I like how you can see easily whats been replaced later on too. I forget which hoses I replaced after a year or so (mud, dust, etc makes everything look the same age)

I just did my valve covers and added an intake manifold spacer. Replaced hoses in the area -(valve cover to cover, one other one up top) but had no idea about this little bastard (21306-EA200). Didnt even see it right there as we were focused on everything else.

It turns out General Tarfun figured a way to get it with the intake/fuel rails in place. But I havent seen it mentioned elsewhere - which is odd. It should be stickied or something. I'll have to try to replace it while everythings bolted on, but it's a bit worrisome as I dont want to have to go through removing EVERYTHING again.

PLease Let me know if you have any questions before or while doing the valve covers. I learned a lot the hard way
For instance - the throttle body was very dirty, take time to clean it. The coolant lines from it were trashed - need replacing. The lines running under their were trashed. The electrical connector to the T-body broke. Had to replace.

I'll stop for now. But yeah reach out if you have questions

This is a very nice pictorial guide as well. Shows where and what hose for coolant, EVAP, etc. Wish I had found this prior to my valve cover job

It's a coolant hose and can only be accessed by removing the fuel rail.

I replaced every coolant and evap hose except this one......oh well.....life goes on.

If it were a major trouble spot, I figure we'd be talking about it....but nobody is.

Still a 14 year old hose
General Tarfun apparently figured a way to replace it without removing the intake manifold and fuel rail
