I had no problems with my automatic X until a few days ago, at first it worked. Went to school and came back. The next day it had a hard crank but started up later in the day turning it on, the dash lights flickered and the crank sounded like a machine gun ratata clicking. Decided I should jump it, didn't work. Cleaned the battery terminals, nothing. Took the battery in to Autozone and had it checked, got it charged, hooked it up and no start no crank same flickering. Only the dash lights flicker nonstop, turned it off and on again, the lights go off an on plus the doors won't lock just like the dash lights flickering. I'm at a lost, I don't really know if its the Starter, Alternator, or an electrical part / connection. Its snowing and i want to get my Xterra back on the road.
Need any help I can get. Appreciate it.

The flickering lights, the gauges and rapid fire stuttering are all symptoms of low voltage in my experience. How did you try jumping it?
Used jumper cables with a truck positive to positive negative to negative etc, did try to charge it with portable power station but that didn't work either.
