    Hi!
Sorry about the delay!!! I don't know what is going on, but I am not getting notifications from the Xterra site. Work has kept me buried (new role at Adobe), so this was the first chance in weeks I have had to look around the site.

I did the protector myself. Took most of the day as I really let material dry between coats. Removing/replacing the Gobi rack and my wiring off the roof was big chunk of time. Sanding was pretty straight forward as was rolling on the protector.

Cost was minimal. Whatever the box of stuff cost at Orchard Supply. I don't recall the exact cost. Maybe $50???? Thin on memory on that though. I bought a couple extra textured rollers from the paint department too. I think I used the Hercules product. Still have about half of it left at home. If you are near Brokaw/880 area you are more than welcome to stop by and see if you can use what I have left. My cell is 408 230 3925. Call and we can setup a time.

It was one of the best things that I have done to the X given the sand and sea water I get exposure too from the kayaks. I went down to nearly the windshield in front. All the way down to the top of the rear window in the back. Sides I just went to the extent of the gutters. If I had to do it again, front and rear would stay the same. I might go further down on the sides, onto the top part of the door frames. Mostly that is because I sometimes have to slide the kayak or cargo box up from the side.

    Hey Cass,

Jon (TurtleX) here from the Death Valley trip. I'm thinking about doing the group buy for the Gobi roof rack and was considering getting the roof protected with the Rhino protector like yours. Questions,

    1. Where did you get it done?
    2. what did it cost?
    3. Any second thoughts, considerations on if you could do it again re: the roof liner/gobi?

    Thanks,
    Jon
