Gosh I saw that... What on Earth were they thinking?! Some part of me NEVER wants the Xterra to come back, because I think they'd completely ruin it.

Oxford dictionary of American English says:

Car:
"a road vehicle, typically with four wheels, powered by an internal combustion engine and able to carry a small number of people."

SUV:
"Sport Utility Vehicle"

Truck:
"a large, heavy road vehicle used for carrying goods, materials, or troops."

So..... Unless you're carrying goods, materials, or troops, it isn't a truck.
And if it isn't "sporty" or used for utility, it isn't an SUV.
So... The X, by definition is a car.

Plus, in most English-speaking countries car just means "whatever is parked outside"

A stick shift is just a millennial anti-theft device.

I call it a truck. Oxford can kick rocks.

Also Teslas aren't cars apparently.

It shares the same platform as the Frontier, it's a light truck with a factory installed cap

If someone can call a Dolly a "truck" then I can call my X a Truck.

Um.... maybe I should have started a new thread with this one. Car vs. truck. I can see it lingering here for a while. We can call it “Rants and Raves of the X”
