Not a bad idea... but with my luck she'd just run out and buy a new purse and matching pair of shoes!

Picked up an ARB recovery bag for gear and a 2-gal Rotopax water tank to put in the wet box.
Borrowed a neighbor's roof box and loaded it up with shovels, brooms, and 2 wheelbarrows. Filled the back with tools and water, then drove down to Houston with a group of volunteers to help with the ongoing hurricane cleanup. Wheelbarrows on the roof definitely dropped the gas mileage on the freeway.
So in this case, not so much what I did, but what my X did for me. Makes a great platform for disaster cleanup. I received a number of compliments in this regard from others down there (including the owner of a new Grand Cherokee). Helping others-that's just how we roll down here in Texas.

Tell her you plan on rotating in the wheel.

I actually brought that up for when I switch over to 285s. I think the 265s are too worn to rotate in an unused tire at this point. I used to do a five tire rotation with my Jeep, but with the TPMS system on the Xterra it seems like there's a few hoops to jump through. I need to do some reading on that!

Got it a bit dirty. This was in Rabbit Valley near the Utah border. I'd really like to spend some more time out there but this was just a quick trip.

Since I just aquired my 1.5 gen, I finally had a chance to give it the "just bought this vehicle full clean up & services" ordeal. lol

Yesterday:
Tear out most of interior, redid my headliner, cleaned out A/C vents, shampooed all of the carpet, got rid of half assed installed alarm system etc. Did do a a complete exterior detail (included removal of roof rack).

Today:
Power steering fluid exchange, differential services (F&R), oil change. waiting on parts for my transmission service & a tool for brake fluid exchange. Coolant was recently services about 2 weeks from when I picked it up. I got receipt form prior owner. Once I have everything sorted out, time to shop for 2" body lift, 2" suspension and some 32" or 33" tires.

Great weekend

I'm doing a 5wheel rotation on my X. Was told the system can only recognize 4 sensors. So 1 wheel has a standard black valve stem. While that black stem is on the ground the TPMS indicator is always on. I haven't asked the dealer but assume the TPMS sensors operate off of the rotation of the wheel on the road. I've gotten used to it being on and make a habit of checking tire pressure on a weekly basis anyways.
