15" Steelies on 2nd Gen?

I know the 15" wheels on a 2nd gen has been asked a million times but it's always about fitting some old aluminum wheels, anyone knows of steelies would work? Them being thinner gives them extra space, if so, anyone knows the spacing they would need to have?

The front rotors are 12 inches on the 2nd gen X, and even on stock 16's the brake caliper sits very close to the wheel. I seriosly doubt you would find a 15 inch wheel of any type that would actually fit?

Whats wrong with the 16 inch steelies. Many here run them?

Just get some OEM steelies. I have them and I think they look good.

Factory Steel Wheel Replacements

looks like the 17" rims (I have 17" because I went with 34OD Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they don't make a 16" tire sadly sadface) are out of stock at the moment but the 16" rims you can still order a set of 5.

You can do 15" wheels but you have to get 2" wheel spacers.

Thanks man, exactly what I needed. Iím still debating whether I want to change from the 2011 Pro4x wheels though. I love them, but also love the utility look of the steelies on a 4x4.
