Sorry just saw this. That issue is common but doesn't cause any functional issues. It can be trimmed but we choose not to in order not to weaken the bracket for those running a body lift.

We strongly recommend not using air tools on the Nissan trucks. The welded in nuts are not welded in well and have a tendency to break off inside the frame!
