Nissan to Merge with Dodge and Jeep?

Interesting read...
Automotive News, has learned that Renault and Nissan intend to make a joint bid for FCA. The ultimate goal is to create an even bigger alliance that could better compete against the Volkswagen Group and Toyota.

gross, Renualt influence in Nissan brought a reduction quality. If Fiat is a part of the brand too, I expect cars that will dissolve in the rain or carwash. Slamming a door will likely bend the frame and blow the airbags. Turning the radio up will make the headlights go dim.

If so, you can kiss the frontier, titan and especially the X good buy forever. No way they would ever have a SUV as a direct in concern competitor to the Jeeps.

If it dose go though, I would go out and buy a JK/JL/JT immediately, cus anything built pre merge will skyrocket in value due to the fickle jeep community.

damn! I hope this merger doesn’t go through. I am hoping to purchase a Frontier in the next 5-7 years, after the next generation is released, hopefully sometime in the near future!

Thanks for the laugh. Only funny because its likely true.

There probably are too many car companies, which is one reason why quality is going into the pit, its all price and most people don't have brand loyalty (I don't either). More of this is likely in the next downturn.

Is it too early for this to be an April Fool's joke?

That would be really awful for Nissan. Fiat owns Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, and Ram at the moment. Nissan is in the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. It's a literal who's who of the worlds least reliable car brands.

Carbuzz is just a bit of an odd website - it's about a micrometer away from being clickbait. It kind of wants to have wacky articles that are too enticing...and some serious fluff.

The article about the possible merger though looks like some homework was done beforehand.

Everything happens for a reason .... Sometimes the reason is that you're stupid and make bad decisions.

I read yesterday those are no longer going to be made in France and production is going completely to China now. Electric only too.
