I would plan for a dinner (or two), I'm sure Walter and I have 2 nights covered ...
Although, yes, side dishes would be a nice complement.
Rice and beans, beans and rice?

You've been on these trips. We're not going hungry (or thirsty).

Weather isn't looking best, but it's got 2 days to shift away from our location.

Nice to know the cabin is there at soldiers meadow

AND there is a larger cabin at Stevens camp.

With only Saturday night actually out in the uncovered open at Bogg Hot Springs.

I will be bringing some extra tarps.

Yummmmm.

Ran across this video about the High Rock Canyon ... shot in May 2017.

Talks about Stevens ranch and George W. Lund Petrified Forest.

Hmmm. And so you did.
Ooops.

Despite the description of the GW Lund Petrified forest being only a few scattered pieces, I'd like to see it if it's on our path.

Garage
Nice video. Except the part where they tore up the foliage and the riverbank cutting a portion of new trail to get across the water. That is just plain wrong.

The rig is mostly loaded, I made sure to put the important stuff in so I don't forget it. Got the charcoal, grill, meat and supporting gear. I will be cooking tri-tip Thursday night for dinner (when the group is all present) with the standard side of asparagus. I have my 18" grill with me and about 15 lbs of charcoal. Can't wait to see everyone.
