Cool!

I'm still not sure about camping or not, my issue is a little different, I have a bad leg (following a bad motorcycle accident) with only one blood-vain supplying blood to my right foot (normal legs have 2). If it gets too cold, I can loose my foot.
Having said that, I do want to camp in snow so I may bring some heat packs or something like that...we'll see.

I am down to go. Been needing to test out the SAS.

As what Cali said. Don't feel like you have to camp cause we are.

On a side note, Talked to Truc and he may be down to go as well.

Snow Riding : Dec 19-20, 2015

I hope you guys are keeping an eye on the weather forecast. There is a storm system coming in this weekend with snow predicted for both Saturday and Sunday.

After these last couple of storms, I would guess that there is a couple feet of snow on the ground on these trails now.

Yeah there will be snow but its not high enough elevation for it to get that deep. Besides we can all take turns plowing the roads.

The trails mentioned in the OP are in the 6000-8000 ft range. In my part of the Sierras, there is currently 2-3 feet of snow at those elevations. Not sure what your definition of "deep" snow is, but that meets mine.

Lmao I here ya. Although I don't plan to stay at 8000ft overnight. But 2-3 isn't impassable just turn around if it gets too deep anyway.

Well, I hope you guys keep an eye on the forecast and read the winter storm warnings for predicted snow amounts before you go. The snow falling from the sky is usually more dangerous than the snow that is already on the ground, and conditions can change super fast. I don't know how much experience you guys have with snow (I'm running with my Bay Area stereotypes here) and I'd hate to find out a group of Xterra guys had to go all Donner Party on each other.
