Yes, I realise that, but most are over $130 for me that's about $180 Canadian dollar+shipping. Looks like the old screwdriver in flywheel and impact gun method.

I was hoping to buy one here for half price or rent one from someone for a fee.

Did you end up getting one of these tools or did you do the job without it? I'm in Vancouver and looking as well.

No I didn't. I just jammed a pry-bar in the fly wheel teeth. Impact works fine for removing crank pulley.

Really Did It helped you
Iam planning to do this and looking for the tool then decided to use teeth from e39 starter and wel shaft to the teeth same lenth and metal base with 2 bolt
Ill ask the Workshop to do it for me if they dont know how to do it ill buy a prybar but which size is it i have bigger size which iam using it on car work
My friend said if you want to do it again and you love that work to be repeated put a screw driver or prybar 😂 so thats make me worry since first time iam doing that and want to ask Did you need a Puller to take out the crank pulley

I have both the J-48761 gear stopper tool and the J-50246 tensioner shoe installer tool from a couple of years ago when I did this job myself. I sold my X a while back and just rediscovered these tools in my garage.
