It's funny, it's hard to get into gear at first and when it warms up it shifts in every gear. It's more rough than what it was stock. It's like the slave needs more throw or the distance is off in the bell housing. Either way, trans is coming back out. I'm going to do some measurements and double check the research on this. I also want to check the pressure plate I have isn't too aggressive or is wrong in some way. How come you haven't finished your swap?

Well after four installs of the transmission, days of troubleshooting and arguing about the design of this kit I am hanging it up until further notice. Information about this mod is so unclear and very vague. I'm out of ideas, tired of spending money I'm not supposed to and not being able to enjoy the result of all effort it took me to get to this point. I advise anyone that tackles this project to expect problems. And if you don't have issues please share because I've been very transparent with everyone, including Driven Desire and I have nothing else to try. Pay special attention and take note of the step up on the trans spindle and the position of carrier bearing. Take pictures and document everything. At this point I have a static display and unless a fix comes to light it will be parted out soon and scrapped.

There is a new design now that's not made by Collins adapters.

I moved the carrier bearing inward and installed it from the rear on spacer. The reason being is because the step up on the input shaft spindle stops on the carrier bushing before the trans makes contact with the adapter plate. This explains why you have to use bolts to bring the mating surfaces together because other wise it won't push into place. I used the same marking compound for checking depth and patterns for the gears.

Proof the bushing position is off on the initial install. I moved it further back and still running into the same issues of it not going into gear. The pics below were from installing bushing from the front of the spacer. An impression was left on the spindle. Because of the binding on the carrier bushing the engine and trans cannot operate independently which prevents changing gears.
