I have no idea. Maybe the matting surface of the flywheel or the pressure plate needed to be broken in. Maybe the hydraulics finally built up enough pressure to allow it to go into gear. I'm going to swap in a clutch reservoir and get rid of this brake/clutch reservoir combo. If you ever fill the reservoir all the air gets trapped where the master sucks fluid from. Maybe the teeth got hung up on the clutch pack from me trying to wrestle the thing in there.

I did it myself with the kit from Driven Desire.

Went to drive it today and the rear main is leaking even though I swapped it. Not to also mention it won't go into reverse. It's funny, it's hard to get into gear at first and when it warms up it shifts in every gear. It's more rough than what it was stock. It's like the slave needs more throw or the distance is off in the bell housing. Either way, trans is coming back out. I'm going to do some measurements and double check the research on this. I also want to check the pressure plate I have isn't too aggressive or is wrong in some way. How come you haven't finished your swap?

Interested to see how the transmission handles the power of the V8. Iíve been itching to swap a manual into my V8 pathfinder but Iím worried it wonít hold up to the vk56 and 37Ē tires

Well after four installs of the transmission, days of troubleshooting and arguing about the design of this kit I am hanging it up until further notice. Information about this mod is so unclear and very vague. I'm out of ideas, tired of spending money I'm not supposed to and not being able to enjoy the result of all effort it took me to get to this point. I advise anyone that tackles this project to expect problems. And if you don't have issues please share because I've been very transparent with everyone, including Driven Desire and I have nothing else to try. Pay special attention and take note of the step up on the trans spindle and the position of carrier bearing. Take pictures and document everything. At this point I have a static display and unless a fix comes to light it will be parted out soon and scrapped.

There is a new design now that's not made by Collins adapters.
