Honestly, can you stop spamming all of these threads? Come up with a price, develop the product, then start your own thread. I can tell you, many people cringe at the cost of aluminum armor, I guarantee very few people will pay for Ti. We get it, you want to get in a little humble brag about your BiL and his super awesome welding skills.

I've posted this question on a couple different threads to probe for interest in a Ti product. I know a lot of DD types (like me) would love more protection but don't like the weight gain. It seems like rock sliders would be the most appropriate first product to offer in Ti, because they need to be tough. Major off-roaders might be willing to spend the $ along side those who want the 4x4 look but not the weight. Just doing some polling at this point. I thought advancement of armor technology/options was something folks here would be interested in.

I'm interested out of curiosity. I can tell you right now that even if you guys do come up with some new advancement in technology, the raw material alone will still be well out of my price range.

There's only so many ways you can mount them to your frame and they have to end up in a certain place with a minimum strength to be effective. There's a reason they all look about the same.

That said, maybe you guys will have some inspiration and come up with something really cool. I'd like to see it and I'll congratulate you on your hard work and achievement. But right now, with no cost or weight estimate, no pictures of testing a prototype or even a design sketch, there isn't a whole lot to get excited about in the statement "titanium sliders".

If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid -

Ordered a set of the WhiteKnuckle Sliders last week. Looking forward to getting them installed.
