Question Door Latch Broke Inside Panel?

I really do not know where to post this but i recently tried to open my driver door while it was freezing outside and the handle stuck open.. my door would not shut and the latch only moved when you pushed it.. i currently have the door shut since i could not just leave it open and now it wont open. you can try to open the inside handle or outside but it does nothing. does anyone know what might be broken and also how to possible get the panel off while the door is stuck shut?!

Interested to hear feedback. Same thing happened to me recently but drivers side rear, and in the middle of a trip, in Death Valley

not sure a slim jim would work if something on the inside of the door is broken...
