Question Pro4X Vs S Trim - What are the Mechanical Differences?

I would like to be educated more about the mechanical and tech differences between the 2011 Pro4X and the S 4WD. I am sure this has been discussed before. I just can't find a thread. Thanks to all in advance.

The only mechanical difference is the push button rear locker. The rest of it is all bolt on and trim differences. The Pro4x gets you a lot bundled goodies that the base models doesn't.

All of the above, plus ...

- On the autos, the Pro-4x gets Hill Descent Control.
- On the 6 speed, it gets Clutch Bypass.
- Slightly different wheel styling.
- Pro-4x gets a Rockford Fosgate stereo with sub and amp. For the 2014-15 MYs they had navigation and Bluetooth.

Let's not forget the mechanical difference of gear ratio's and the C200 axle on the S vs. the M226 on the P4X

Unless the S has a manual tranny, M226 with yet another ratio.

Longboardr,
Mine is a 2011 S 4WD. I think I have the rear diff lockers. When I engage 4LO it turns VDC off, because the rear diff is locked. Am I getting this right???

Nope, no locker on an S as it came from the factory. If you had a locker it would be a push button independent of the 4wd selector.
