Default Green Ridge June 6-8

Hey all, I know this is very last minute, and probaly bad of me to post, but I figured I'd invite anyone interested with nothing better to do who is in the area this HOT A$$ weekend...

This is really just a last minute camping trip with some friends to Green Ridge State Forest, but I plan on wheeling some on Saturday. I'll be up tomorrow night getting a campsite. If you want to find me, I'll put the name Schlityz on the camp site number.

A few flexes in camp Friday evening

Get that spare tire out, we need to grab some wood!

Put them camp hoes to work! Earn your keep!

Starting the trail

1st break point and outlook

4 Door Jeep Rubicon tip toeing up the trail. To his credit, he had 30 day tags, his wife and his dog in the back seat...lol I felt sorry for the guy. You could tell he wanted to get into it a bit more. He told me he even got the sway disconnect, while his wife gave him a sharp look.. Maybe next time.

The next outlook and break point on the trail, Now on top of the ridge.

Hold up! I forgot to back the bus in all the way.

Let me get the keys...

2 of these on 2 different days... Black Widow, not a good thing @ camp...

Chain saw killer in camp! Okay, this was from the fall in 06, but I had to throw it in there.

Thanks Bueller, it's a great place to camp, hike, bike, fish or hunt. 18 mile ORV trail ain't bad if you want to kill some time and get the truck dirty

I like Green Ridge. Had there been more notice and if it wasn't the GF's b-day I might have joined you. The OHV trail is nothing special, but it's got a few nice overlooks and is a nice ride through the woods...until a quad comes blasting by...

Nice shots...

Nice find with the Black Widow. I am interested, it looks like it's just sitting out in the open, very unusual for a Black Widow. Did you move it from some place before taking the picture?

Hey thanks Jason. It would have been cool to catch a couple of you guys on such short notice.

Yep, Green Ridge is fun and the trail is a nice ride. I know the notice was way short, sorry bout that. Just thought I'd invite anyone eitherway. Next time I'll give plenty of notice for sure.

The quads and the dirtbikers weren't bad this time, very low volume and unmolested on the trail...lol I'm sure due to the forcasted heat.

The first black widow I stumbled a cross was actually @ night when we were all hitting the sack and I noticed it in the corner of the tent porch mesh. Thankfully not inside where we were all sleeping. I plopped her in a plastic cup and dumped on a tree way away. The second one, we found as we were breaking camp Sunday and I don't know exactly where, but my buddy found her under either the table or water cooler, can't remember. But you're exactly right, not out in the open.

It was def a critter weekend... take a look...lol

Batman Returns moth...

Yellow Stealth bomber moth...

and then weirdo beatle dude...

and then some more random puddle splash...

Yessirrrrrrrrr. Check out the map and you'll see a designated area, but not specific trails. I'd call them to see if they have a specific map for the bikers in the house.

Hey there! I'm wicked interested in more information about this place.
My boyfriend lives in BelAir, MD....so it'd be nice to take a run there. I'm in
southern PA right above the MD border. I'm at work right now, and have to
run....but I'll PM you later for more information!

Looks like you guys had a great time!

You should def check it out Xtian. The best place to camp and tool around. Primitive camping and none of the camp sites are close to each other, so you can jam all night without bothering anyone else or get any complaints against you. I'd say the closest camp site are maybe 100 yards within each other. Party till you drop! Woot!
