Thinking about painting my garage
My garage and garage floor has seen better days. I am seriously considering painting the walls and coating the floor. I would assume a quality exterior paint would work on the walls, the floor is a bigger issue. My parent's have the epoxy'd garage floor in their house but it seems just too damn slippery for me. I have a couple of motorcycles, so I definitely don't want the floor any more slippery than it already is, but I would like to coat it. Any suggestions on products? Also, given the popularity of bed liner in the X community, curious as to whether anybody has attempted to bed line a garage floor? I'll take color suggestions as well.

What, do you plan on going over 15 mph in your garage? You can get some epoxy floors with a grip texture in them. Basically just a bag of sand that you mix in before painting or immediately after painting...

I went the epoxy route on mine, one thing you can do to keep it from being so slippery is put a lot of the color chips down. They add some traction to the floor. Bedlining it is a really interesting idea tho. Make sure you post pics if you decide to do it.

I used the Behr single stage epoxy from HD, put a good helping of color chips on it and it isn't slippery. You need to really clean the floor though, a bonding agent will help with longevity also.

Actually, the problem occurs when I am moving slow enough to have to put my feet down, especially if for instance my boots and tires are wet.

My floor was painted with cheap floor paint. Before it all pealed off, it was slippery as hell with boots full of snow. Never had a problem with vehicles, I just had problems walking on it.
Costco has some rubber flooring you just unroll on top of the floor. That's an interesting alternative, but I did not check the price.

I've actually tried that Costco rubber flooring. It was actually more slippery than the expoy coating!
