This will definitely be interesting to watch ... great parts list. Are you planning to keep this as a driver, or planning on it becoming a trailer queen? If you're building it for trail only, what have you got to pull it around with (tow rig)?

Well....I plan on it being capable for city driving. And im sure it will be. It wont be anything compared to stock, but as long as its street legal, i can deal with body roll and any other factors. I know people drive trailer queens in Moab and they do fine on the city roads.
Highway. With full hydro steering there is no real good answer to how fast the rig is drive-able to. Some people running high end systems such as the PSC i have say they can do 75-80 no problem, but it takes a little more focus then driving a civic with one hand while eating, talking on the phone, smoking and putting on make up with the other. Systems put together with tractor hydro parts tend to become scary at much lower speeds.
IF it can handle 65, ill run it on short local highway trips that are a few miles.
Im probably going to end up trailering it for long hauls. The X already gets horrible milage. Add 37s and some D60s, Ouch
I have a 1997 Dodge Ram Cummins.
Its an ugly beast, but im slowly working on it. I think at the moment its getting around 20mpg highway? Which is already better then the xterra.
After some mods i hope to get the mileage up to about 26mpg highway hopefully.

do your axles have speed sensor/tone rings? it'd be a nice touch to have a functional speedo. Could be easily accomplished with both RCV and Dynatrac involved...just throwin it out there. you've already dropped serious coin on parts...what's another ~$2000...seriously.
ETA - JK guys are putting Prorock60's under their rigs and AFAIK, have fully functional electronics.

Axles do not have speed sensors or tone rings. I know my parts list has a nice fat total, but im basically maxed out, also didnt see a point in spending 2k just to have speedo.
BUT i DO have a speedo sensor in the atlas Tcase!
Ill still have to figure it out, but im thinking that with a Dakota Digital converter box i can not only convert to a signal the xterra will recognize, but also compensate for different gearing and tire sizes as the box allows for that as well.
So I SHOULD hopefully have a functional speedo. My 97 dodge has different gears and oversized tires, so the speedo is totally off on it, i want at least one vehicle with a working speedo, lol.
