Default Flags!

So I did a search and couldn't really find what I was looking for...

How do y'all mount flags on your X's?
I'm interested to see how!

My best guess is using a fire stick, but seeing as I don't have one (yet), just seeing what some other ways are!

Post up your offroad flags here!

ok so what i used was regular 3/4 pvc and regular 3/4 pvc mounts then i used a old liscense plate on the back side along with a 2x4 piece for added stability, if you dont use a back plate of something sturdy the pvc mounts willl come out while driving. with my mount i have driven up to speeds of 100+ and still have yet to lose it anywhere. i even tried using a special mount from the hardware store but it couldnt even take speeds over 30 and it broke. pm me if you have any questions or want more pictures.

I cut my flag stick to only about 12-14" long and just zip-tied it to my Firestik CB antenna. Worked like a champ.

Firestik antenna, antenna mount welded directly to roof rack. Not the best place for an antenna as it gets all kinds of abuse from hitting trees.

The flag is attached using zip ties. The flag itself was manufactured here in the USA and is a rugged flag but can not withstand too much highway speed driving.

I have only used the flag on trails and if it helps people from crashing into me then its doing its job. Also Arizona Rocks! So does its flag.

I don't have any pictures right now but the flag I have uses a compression fitting attaching it to the fiberglass pole and then like a npt to bolt adapter or something. You can remove the adapter and put an air quick disconnect end on it. Mount the other end on the X and taking the flag on and off becomes pretty easy.

gotcha!
very innovative guys!
i'm trying to convince my dad into letting my get a firestik for the X, although he hates the idea of drilling into it at all...he's paranoid about everything...
so i know about the mount that you, fangars, make for the roof rack, but that makes clearance around the city(drive thru's, and even my drive way) a problem...
so i'm trying to do a little problem solving on my own right now...
as of now i have a magnetic mounted cb that we got years ago at radio shack...works good though...
hopefully will be able to throw a firestik on the X soon enough though..

They make folding CB antenna mounts too...you could keep it folded flat while in city and flip it up w/ flag on it while on the trails.
