Arrow How to install foglights..

Here is what I did for the weekend hope you guys like it!

Bought at Autozone 2 pairs of lights.
-Pilot Navigator Series Fog Lights - NV-533W to fill in the stock light holes (this is just for the looks, however the lights do help a little..) $23.99

-6" Hella 500 series for $60

-Bolts, screws and brackets $5.00

to do this it was easiest to just take out the front grill and bumpers off first. Total mounting time took me like 1 hour and 1 hour for wiring.

-Mounting for the front top grill: I had done what most people do here by drilling holes on the grill, but didn't like the way the lights sit cause they sticked out like an inch in front of the bumper.. so I made a new method which requires no drilling of holes...

what you need is to buy extended bolts (the short ones on the pict are the bolts that came with the foglights.. what you need is the longer 2 inch bolts as shown.), extra washers and 4x1inch square plates.

then install in the grid the way the pict shows:

let me continue.. somehow I can't figure out how to post more picts...

now afterwards you can mount the fog lights to the bracket that is installed on the grill as follows:

now we go to the installation of the OEM foglight position:

need to buy the 4" round foglights.. I just went cheap for the looks only...
what you need is:

now you get those L shaped metal plates which you will have to bend into a V shape but with one side longer...

The mount on the rear of the bumper has a hole on one side.. you will have to make another hole on the opposite side so that you can mount the brackets.

Foglights have mounting holes on each side

Need to bend the metal plates as shown and then screw onto the hole opening

after all the mountings, please make sure the foglights are sitting properly on the hole.. I had to re-bend the brackets to make it fit and align to the bumper..

and then here it is all assembled:

Hope this is helpful with some out here... I just felt like writing something to help cause You guys have helped me out soooo much with our cars!!!

and Sorry if its difficult to understand, but this is my first post with picts and how to's... hopefully I get better... Lol...

with this setup I got a rainbow of colors and light patterns... I got the 5k HID on the headlights, regular halogen color on the hella's with 100W bulbs...
55w Yellow for fog, and blue tinted 35w pilots that are for looks... Cheers!

Wow, great write up dude. Those pics are really helpful. I assume that for the fogs you used the factory wiring tied up in the front bumper, but for the Hellas did you run new wiring through the firewall to a switch in the cabin? I realized that there are a bunch of threads about mounting lights but few about how to get power to them. Thanks again for your photos!

This is the diagram that I used.. its simple and you just need to pass 1 cable through the firewall... (the LOAD cable)

Nice write up! How stable are the Hellas? I'd be worried about vibration.
