Default Superchips has me stranded!

So stopped for gas and put in 93 in prep for tow package tune with my Superchips. No good, I get some error that says "Call Superchips" but it's like 7 pm on the west coast. Now my engine turns but then nothing. And when I plug the programmer back in it gets stuck on "turn ignition to ON" screen. Stranded at a Valero on I 35!!! TX will not let me go!!!!!!!!!

See though it worked fine this morning when I went from Mileage XS to 87 tune. It screwed up whenever I just now tried to upload the Light Tow option. Gahhhhhhh!

If you have a look at this link http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthr...ght=superchips you will see a post I just released days ago going over our latest update that has upgrades to the recovery too as well as the installation software that might be something that could help you here. Before you return the PCM and programmer to us see if these updates help you any.

If you are unfamiliar with our internet update software please follow this link to our web page where you can download the software to your PC: http://www.superchips.com/update_your_tuner.php

When you attempt to program the vehicle once more please make sure that you have all factory and aftermarket accessories in the vehicle turned off before programming.

If I can be of any further assistance please let me know.

I would say Try and update that may help like I said on a diffrent post I had so many frinken codes poping up and my truck turned over but would not start and the cortex would not reboot and install the stock file and being it was a weekend and 8pm I thought Id try and disconnect the battery for an hour and then hooked back up and the cortex rebooted and installed the stock file. It may or may not work for you.

all this talk lately about SC causing headaches for people is making me really reluctant to purchase one.

I've tuned my truck in the most random of places. Gas stations, parking lots, beach, midget strip club, house, friend's house, yada, yada, yada. Never once did it give me a problem.

How's your battery doing? The tuner needs a full charge off the battery to do its thing, it takes up some juice to do so. I make sure I've run my truck for a bit and turn EVERYTHING off. Radio, lights, radar detector, pump for blow up doll, power inverter, cell phone charger, and I even make sure my door is closed and the cargo light is off before I tune. The battery is the main culprit for most people who have tuning problems. Either the battery is weak or something is draining on it.

Again, I have never had a problem tuning my truck in the most random places and leaving me SOL.
