Default Rear Carpet Cargo Interior

Brian,

Can you give me break down of the prices for the rear carpet cargo interior that come standard in all 08 X models? I think there should be 3 pieces: 2 rear seat backs, and 1 rear interior cargo cover.

No, not mine. But, I'm interested in switching my plastic out with carpet. They come factory if you have an 08-09 X-trim level.

Oh okay, but why (if you don't mind me asking) would you want carpeted seat backs instead of the plastic like the cargo area?

I want carpeted seat back and carpeted cargo area as pictured. I'm just think that the carpet will look better over time as opposed to the plastic that will eventuallly show scratches. Also, I'm sick and tired of the groceries sliding in the back and don't really want the carpet cargo mat.

Mine are. So is the cover for the storage area. I have a 2008 Xterra X.

Stuff still slides around back there. I think I like it a little better over the plastic, especially after hearing about how the plastic shows scratches so well. I wish they made a rubber-type interior like the Element has.

If you're just worried about SLIDING around, then it doesn't matter how the cargo floor is covered

You either need to use the tie-downs, or nets and there are 100's of different nets on the market-Raingler/Nissan/Tuffy/JC Whitney-etc

Actually, I am coming form a dog hauling perspective. I am sorry I didn't communicate that in my earlier post.

With my X, I can just throw a blanket in and let them lay down. If I am only taking one though, I tend to put the kennel in and strap it down. (I really need to get a better kennel set up; maybe I need to make one.)

I used to have a pickup with an unlined bed. For that, I had to lay down a mat, then put carpet or a blanket down for the dog. If I didn't put the mat down, the blanket would slide all over the place, even with the dog on it. The plastic lining in the X would probably be the same. That's why I'd like to have a rubberized cargo area.
