I was looking forward to being the first w/ their rear bumper system but, unfortunately, it looks like I will be the third. So who has the first one and isn't nice enough to share their pics w/ us?! The second was sent out some dealer here in TX - weird. BUT, however, I will be the first w/ some added customization I worked out w/ the guy:
-LED turn signals/brakes/tail lights
-LED reverse lights
And here's the rest of the details:
-Tow hitch
-Hi-Lift carrier
-CB antenna mount
-Jerry can mount
-License mount w/ light
All in all, w/ my 5% military discount and shipping, the total came to $1,040. Required an up-front deposit of $456 and gave me a 4-5 week turnaround time. But, since this is one of the more simpler builds for them, he said there is even a good chance that it could be sooner. Can't wait! At least I'll be a first on The New X!
--UPDATE 2/25/09--
It's here!!! The pics are a little dark, was late when I got it home and unpacked. So far so good, except the swing is on the wrong dam side. I know they have the swing on the driver's side on the gen I Xterra on their site, but I talked this over several times w/ Kyle at KMA and assured me it would swing on the passenger's side. I dunno, maybe it had to be switched due to my add-on lights or something. Going to call them tomorrow and see what's up. Hopefully should get this installed by the weekend. The lights themselves are being sent separately, BTW.
With the Jerry can (thanks again, Mark!)
Random welded-on and painted bolt?!?!?!
Holes for the LED lights
Forgot to add that I ordered this on about Nov 17/18 2008 or so and it was delivered yesterday, Feb 24 2009. So, about 3 months later - delivered.
--EDIT 2/28/09--
It's on! Need to get some extra lug nuts before I can put the spare on. Other than the stock bolts being a PITA to get off, the install was very simple.
Off w/ the old...
On w/ the new...
W/ the Jerry can on...
There was no hole or even markings for this retainer pin thingy for the spare holder. Luckily the guy's place we were installing this at had a drill press.
More to come once I get the LED's installed and the spare on. Sweetness!!!
--UPDATE 3/1/09--
Got the LED lights in but have not wired them yet. Also, threw on all the accessories for show. Here's what I got:
Lights and Gobi
Lights, Gobi, Jerry can, and spare
Lights, Gobi, Hi-Lift, and Jerry
Besides the Gobi hitting my new roof rack, it also wouldn't fit due to the Hi-Lift
The top Hi-Lift mounting bolt is just a tad too low.
Gonna have a friend cut and re-weld it so I don't have the gap at the bottom.
--EDIT 4/4/09--
Got the swing-away LED's wired up and man are they B-R-I-G-H-T!!! Here are some pics and two videos for different angles' sake.
