Armor/hitch bolt question???
I bought NX Rocks Armor off a member on the forum and have installed them on my 2008 Xterra S. I was given only a limited amount of bolts to do the install. Can anyone tell me the bolt sizes for the radiator skid, Transmission, and engine. In addition what is the bolt size for the rear bumper/top hitch bolts? Where is the best place to purchase these? Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

I'm not sure on the specifics of this but Lowes has a TON of metric hardware...you could probably bring one in and match it up.

Lowes will most likely not have what you need. Check an Ace or a Fastenal for the metric sizes. Also, if you go to www.heftyfabworks.com, they are the ones that bought out NXRocks, they should have instructions that are in a downloadable PDF file. When I used those instructions last, they had the amount of bolts you need listed completely wrong but they atleast got the sizes right so you could take those sizes and then just count your mounting points on the skids and go from there.

I used the list and none of the bolts fit. I purchased them from ACE.

well, that is pretty odd. I honestly dont know what to tell you in that case. I would just try to double check that you got the right bolts to match the instructions I guess. I just used them not that long ago and had no issues.

Oh, and for the hitch bolt, unless I'm mistaken, the hitch is held on by the same bolts that hold the rear bumper on. But ya, as for the other hardware, I honestly don't know what to tell you if you can't find the bolts you need at ace.
Just re-read your first post. Can't you just take out one of the bumper bolts and match it up in the store if you need more for the hitch?

bolts..
I will try the sizes again from Hefty. I was asking the size of the bolts for the rear bumper. I currently have the hitch on with the four bolts and would like to add the last two.

Oh, well those bolts are not going to be listed anywhere by hefty. The reason I suggested hefty was cause you asked for bolts for your skid plates.
For the bumper, take one of those four bolts out, go into Ace with it and tell them you want them to match it.

The last 2 bolts for the hitch are not the same size as the ones that hold on the bumper.
Here is the parts list for a curt hitch, so one of the 2 sizes should be what you need.
Parts List
ITEM QTY PART NUMBER DESCRIPTION
1 4 M14 - 1.5 x 40 HEX HEX TAP BOLT
2 4 9/16 LOCK WASHER
3 2 M12-1.25 x 35mm HEX TAP BOLT
4 2 1/2" CONICAL TOOTHED WASHER
I expect they are the M12-1.25X35 mm that can be had at Lowes or Home Depot for 1 to 2 bucks each.
