: EZ-Air Tire Gauge

There are plenty of air gauges on the market. And plenty of tire deflators.

I recently purchased the EZ-Air Tire Gauge from Get-a-Gauge (http://www.getagauge.com/Tire-Gauges/Accu-Gage-EZ-Air.cfm).

The clip-on chuck holds well, the gauge is accurate at sea level and between 5000-6500 feet and in 95* and 32* temps.

The nice thing about this gauge is that it also has a pressure release button. While this button is designed to drop a couple of pounds to get right on when you accidentally over-inflate, I've used it effectively to air down. It takes ~2.5 mins to air down (265/75/16) from 38#s to 20#s.

The end of the hose also has a fitting that you can use to inflate through (have not yet tried this).
If I depress both fittings I can air down in ~ 2 mins.

This device is as described with "100 psi steel case gauge, solid brass fittings" and works quite well.

And it's only $24.95 shipped.

XKnut recommends this. :hello1:

I have several of these and really like it.

The reason I have several is the local Advance Auto had them for $1.29 each. I bought all they had.

You know, I'll have to check, but I might be able to air down with my gauge. What I'm assuming you're doing is using the pressure release valve that sets the gauge back to zero. Since I've got one as well, I might be able to air down that way.

$7.99, Autozone. No, I don't have a pic. Yes, I realize this means the entire post above never happened.

No, that button is not to reset the gauge, it actually vents the air. The needle on this gauge does not stay when you remove the gauge from the tire.

ahh - that could be a difference then.

My father has one of these and I have used it several times when filling tires on multiple vehicles. It is the best tire gauge I've used...accurate...fast...easy. I love the ability to add air with the gauge attached. No adding air, checking pressure, adding more air, checking pressure, letting air out..etc etc etc... Just clip it on fill it to the right PSI and move on to the next tire.

I just ordered one off Ebay from seller: jerzeecustoms (2500+ 100% positive feedback) for $20.45 SHIPPED. Here's a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EZ-Air-Tire-Pressure-Gauge-Inflator-0-100psi_W0QQitemZ220451846701QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMot ors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3353f43a2 d

The "SLIME" brand doesn't have the ability to fill up while it's attached.
