Jollyman and I were discussing a CO run this coming weekend either the 23rd or 24th. Thinking about one of the following Bill Moore Lake (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=12), Barbour Fork (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=290), Devil's Canyon (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=291)or other front range trail. I am open for suggestions as I do no know the conditions of any of these trails. This might be more of scouting trip for a night run on the 26th when some folks get back from Moab to show them CO trails.

Yankee Hill I know is open but damn I've run that thing so many times I would like to stray from that area. I've done Bill Moore a few times but havn't ran either of the other two I've listed.

Who's in and what day works better?

Did some recon today, Yankee Hill is open from Central City to Alice/St. Mary's. Also Went up Kingston Peak, I was the first non atv to go up that way this year had to break through multiple drifts, right at 11,000' I turned around as the atv's had and I didn't want to go any further with out additional vehicles. I think we could get further, don't know how much but once we clear the tree line there should be more room to maneuver.

Given my self inflicted wound today, it looks like I'm going to pass on driving out to Moab. I'll therefore be around this weekend and should be up for some wheeling around here. Besides, I need to test out this new skid plate.

Let's do Saturday morning. My wife and I also might do Sunday.

I am very down for slaughterhouse. I've ran Kingston too many times and I bet on the otherside there are still some large snow drifts, north facing.

There's Georgia Pass, Red Cone, and Webster off of 285 as well, conditions unknown.

Joel, wanna do Spring Creek on Sunday to test the new skid? I bet its open, I will ask a friend that lives up there.

Let's do Slaughterhouse (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=2). I called the ranger district and its open, trail to mud pits is closed indefinitely. :blackeye:

Meet at 10:00am at the Bradley gas station, 285 and 73 (http://denver.citysearch.com/profile/1877072/conifer_co/bradley_petroleum_inc.html#profileTab-maps). I have no CB radio but I know others do, PM me for my cell phone number if needed.

I would be down for taking a lunch break somewhere on the trail if you peeps wanna bring food for yourselves.:dontknow:

So for Sat it looks like we have:

We're running Onion Creek, Rose Hill Garden, and Top of the World today. Woot! Sean, next time we come out here, we're doing Steel Bender!!!

MSV could be extra wet with all the snow melting as quick as it is

You could always ride shotgun.

The weather forecast isn't looking very good for tomorrow. What's Slaughterhouse like when wet?

Yea, looking at the rain in Boulder now... it's just starting.

So, Plan B could be to head to Idaho Springs and hit Tommyknocker ;)

Now that's my kind of plan B. We could even call it the first official meeting of COX (minus our inspiration, Creek).

not too sure, FJ friend said there's a lot of whitetrash on slaughterhouse so I would imagine its acceptable. Its all Araphoe forest land.

Just go back, great run today!

I took another look under my truck. I must have hit the rock all on the slider and frame. The other skids, however... well, I need real skids :)

Defintely a fun run today. You need to add emphasis to the as in THE rock. Glad the carnage was limited to the slider and frame, and of course the rock.
