Gas Tank Size

Can someone tell me how large the gas tank is on the Gen2X? I ran mine last night until the DTE computer just flashed bars at me. I dont know how far I can push the X on empty before its done. I filled up and it took 18.3 gallons to fill. How much more did I have left?

Check your owner's manual, it's in there.

21 gallons is correct. You should never run your tank to that level, you will suck up any and all of the sediment that has settled to the bottom of your tank and kill your filter.

You also chance burning out your pump as the gas in the tank actually keeps it cool.

The most I have ever put in mine is 17.8 and that was running it to 360 miles. I would like to have that extra 3 to just be safe

You can always go just 1 more exit down the freeway... if you're feeling lucky

Unless you are driving to Moab and you just passed Fruita, CO (next services ~70 miles) and you find yourself past the point of no return and too far to make it to the next gas station.
