Angry Thanks Nissan for the crappy liftgate supports!

Damn the engineer who speced out the liftgate supports. I hope he/she has sleepless nights, has a house fire, catches crabs, and has to file bankruptcy. If I bang my head on that damn thing one more time, I will spend the rest of my days hunting him/her down. (I feel better now, LOL)

So far all I have found is factory replacements. I refuse to spend my hard earned money on another pair that I know are destined to fail in a few years.

Yeah, mine suck too. I bought the replacement struts today from McMaster. Only 33 bucks.

McMaster Carr looks like the way to go. I just hope that with just the 150 lb replacements that my wife can still reach the hatch to close it. She's a shorty.

I thought about the exchange program, but it's too damn expensive.

Who designed your wife? Perhaps that engineer was rushing on a Friday..

I got severely tired of limp strut; that's why I got 9416k147 from McMaster-Carr. With 9416k147, I'm not only able get it full height anytime I want, but I also avoid unintentional bangs.. Of the head that is. Plus, my wife can still reach it and grab it anytime it's been extended. McMaster-Carr, curing limp strut since 1973.
