Catalytic Convertor Recycling?

I searched and found nothing............

So,

Has anybody sold their old Cats for recycling?

If so, where and for how much?

There's value in those precious metals!

Call up your local recycling center, prices usually vary by market value.

I dropped mine off at Potomac Recycling in Manassas, VA today. $25 each ($30 for my 93 Toyota one).

I sold my 2003 Honda Civic w/ 190k miles catalytic converter on eBay for $95. Not going to complain.

That seems low. I've called 3 places locally and been offered $65-100 each. There's also online options such as this:

Platinum and palladium are worth a good chunk of change.

That's about what I got here locally as well like $20ish bucks (and I took 4 sets of exhausts with cats and precats :-/). It was really low and I complained to them, but in the end, it wasn't worth the time and expense to cut the cats out, then ship the cats. They're heavy, and it's expensive :-/. I see that place offers shipping reimbursement if you're sending 6 or more. That's cool.
