Anyone Know what Type of Radiator Advance Auto Parts Stocks?

CARQUEST Radiator 433879: Advance Auto Parts

all the link tells me is "Carquest", even called the store and they said the same thing. With their 25% off promo going on right now, i can get this at $10 more than the Spectra at Rock Auto and not have to worry about shipping hassles.

The name that shows up most often is "Vista-Pro." It seems like a generic radiators that gets re-branded by the company that sells it.

I've read several cases of radiators getting damages when being shipped, any problems with yours?

I have a spectra, ordered from Amazon, with no issues at shipping. The rad manufacture packages them pretty well, not to say it couldn't get damaged.

Having said that I avoid all things discount auto store brand label. It may be made in the same chinese factory like everyone elses, however since no one cares about the brand, quality control is zero. Worst case scenario is they have to give you a new rad, labor is on you. If you don't want to worry about shipping buy a koyo or spectre from your local store.

I just swapped radiators in my 08 auto trans in January. I used the one from Advanced Auto. Another guy from the shop I work also installed same radiator in his 07 auto trans. Radiator & coolant was under $200. Took maybe 2 hours to swap em. Neither one of us had any issues with em.

I ordered a koyo from frsport.com. the box wasn't damaged but the radiator was and was missing all the caps and plugs to cover the ports. I think it was a customer return. I couldn't wait for frsport to reply, so I ordered spectra from rock auto.

Good thing about buying local is warranty. If something was to go wrong, it would be much faster to get a replacement.

Got my Spectra from RockAuto. No shipping problems. Did find out NAPA sells the same but $50 more as shown on the Napa store computer.
